About Me

Carissa Wolfe is from a small town outside just Cornwall, Ontario but is currently living in Brockville. As a child, Carissa was always drawing, painting and above all creating. She is greatly inspired by her friends and family and the little things in the world that are underappreciated by many. Carissa is passionate about photography but also enjoys working with pencil, acrylic paint, charcoal, and mixed media arts. Wolfe is currently working on a series of 3D shrines that are based on her own personal fears. By exploring what scares her the most, Carissa wants to learn abut her self and hopes to become a more open person.

Carissa took art classes all throughout high school and has been commissioned in the past to do a mural and canvas installation at her old high school. Carissa has continued to pursue her interest in the arts by attending St. Lawrence Colleges Visual and Creative Arts - Fine Arts program; where she received the prestigious Marianne Van Slifhout bursary in order to attend.

Carissa Wolfe greatly appreciates the little things in life. she sees beauty in a house that been painted red or pain drops on a wilting flower. she believes there are too many simple things that are greatly underappreciated by society. Through Art, Carissa hopes to show people that beautiful things do not have to be perfect. She also hopes to leave her viewers with the understanding that its the little things in life that are most important.
